1. Introduction

XeDialer ("the App") is an Android dialer and contacts replacement app. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data stored on your device only

The App accesses the following data to provide its core functionality:

• Contacts — read from the Android Contacts Provider to show names, phone numbers, photos, and favorites.
• Call log — read from the Android Call Log Provider to display recent calls.
• Phone state — used to detect active calls and manage the in-call screen.
• SMS — the App can open your default SMS app with a pre-filled number.
• Installed theme APKs — the App discovers other installed APKs that expose the xedialer.theme.version metadata in order to load optional visual themes.

All of the above data is processed locally on your device. XeDialer does not upload this data to our servers.

2.2 Crash reports and feedback (optional)

If the App crashes, you may choose to send a crash report by email. The report includes:

• The stack trace of the crash,
• Your device model and Android version,
• The App version.

This information is sent only with your explicit consent and only to xedialer@gmail.com.

2.3 Advertising

The free version of the App displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device and advertising identifiers in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can remove ads by purchasing the ad-free premium upgrade through Google Play Billing.

3. How We Use Data

We use device-local data solely to operate the App:

• Show contacts and call history,
• Place and manage phone calls,
• Display caller information during calls,
• Apply selected visual themes,
• Show ads in the free version.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.

4. Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

• CALL_PHONE — to initiate calls.
• READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS — to display and edit contacts.
• READ_CALL_LOG, WRITE_CALL_LOG — to display and update call history.
• READ_PHONE_STATE, READ_PHONE_NUMBERS — to detect call state and incoming numbers.
• MANAGE_OWN_CALLS — to handle calls as a default dialer.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show missed call notifications.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_PHONE_CALL — to keep the calling service active.
• WAKE_LOCK — to keep the screen on during calls.
• VIBRATE — to provide haptic feedback on the keypad.

The App also declares a <queries> element to discover installed XeDialer theme APKs (packages that expose an xedialer.theme.version marker). This does not require a runtime permission and does not transmit any list of installed apps.

5. Your Choices

• You can deny optional permissions; some features will be limited.
• You can purchase the premium upgrade to remove ads.
• You can disable personalized ads through your Google Advertising settings.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The latest version will always be available at the URL referenced in the Play Store listing.
